Job summary

The City of Wichita's Budget Office offers a limited full-time intern position in advanced clerical work within the finance department. The intern will assist with research, analysis, and special projects under supervision, gaining exposure to government budgeting and financial processes.

Qualifications

Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate or master's program.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need of a sponsorship.
Attainment of passing scores on pre-employment tests: Microsoft Excel 2019 – Normal User; Business Writing.

Responsibilities

Performs intern-level work assigned by the department.
Attends meetings in conjunction with management.
May review, update and implement operations policies and procedures.
May review processes and provide recommendations.
May conduct financial studies and develop and present recommendations.
May work in conjunction with the Director of Finance or other Division managers.
Completion of work assignments may require operation of a vehicle.
