Oregoncounties in Benton County seeks a Budget Manager to supervise the Budgeting Team and guide budget development, monitoring and analysis for the County and districts. You will ensure compliance with all applicable budget rules and provide critical recommendations for financial decisions.
The role conducts complex countywide analyses, develops forecasting models, interprets restrictions on resource use, and identifies risks and opportunities to the budget.
Annual Salary Range: Budget Manager: $86,413.60 – $117,836.58
The Benton County finance department is seeking a Budget Manager to join our team.
The Budget Manager is responsible for supervising the Budgeting Team, consisting of four budget analysts, within the Financial Services Department. The Budgeting Team leads the development, monitoring and analysis of the adopted budgets for the County and County Service Districts, and ensures compliance with all county, state, and federal budget requirements. The position also performs complex analysis and technical work related to countywide financial and budget activities; conducts countywide revenue and expenditures trend analyses; develops and manages revenue forecasting methodology and models, interprets legal and policy restrictions on resource used; and identifies opportunities and risks to county’s budget. The work and recommendations of this position and the team it manages provides the basis for budgetary financial decisions that impact the entire county.

Municipal accounting/budgeting experience with similar sized organization is preferred.
