Job summary

City of Odessa is seeking a Budget Manager to lead the development and management of the City’s operational budget and ensure fiscal responsibility across departments.

You will oversee budget preparation, forecasting, and financial analysis, develop and enforce budget policies, advise leadership on funding priorities, present reports to the public and City Council, and supervise a finance team. The role requires strong public-sector budgeting experience and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (required).
• 4+ years accounting experience; government budgeting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of public sector finance principles and forecasting.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
