Mission Pet Health in Birmingham, AL is hiring an Accounting/Finance Analyst to help scale our rapidly growing network of hospitals. You will own budgeting, variance analysis, forecasting, and financial reporting to support decision making across the organization.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years in financial analysis, a BA in Finance/Accounting, strong Excel and ERP experience, and a collaborative, detail-oriented mindset aligned with our WAG values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in financial analysis or a similar role.
• Problem-solving mindset and commitment to WAG values.
• Strong knowledge of financial modeling and analysis tools (e.g., Excel, financial software).
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare annual hospital budgets with input from SLT, field directors, and historical trends.
• Conduct budget-to-actual variance analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Monitor key financial metrics and report findings to seniors.
• Update forecasts based on variances, historical trends, and leadership input.
• Conduct detailed financial analyses and provide insights to supervisors.
• Update monthly financial reports and assist in quarterly board slides.
• Drive continuous improvement of financial processes and systems.
• Support audits as needed.
