Job description

Job Description

This position will work directly with and support a long-standing Government client, the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO). This established position on the contract has the potential to grow into a larger role supporting BAE Systems corporate businesses. The selected candidate will demonstrate their ability to successfully coordinate with customer stakeholders and our project leadership, while managing the customer budget, developing budget projections, tracking billing and invoices, and identifying trends. You will provide executive-level program financial information to the Program Office for review by the Chief Information Officer and other executive-level management.

The position requires living within commuting distance to Washington D.C. to work onsite a minimum of 1 day per week in the Government office located in downtown District of Columbia.

Important: Candidates who already possess a Government Security Clearance may receive faster processing to establish a potential start date. Any candidate without the required (minimum) Public Trust security clearance must be able to obtain and maintain it.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  1. A minimum of a Bachelor's degree and 4 years of professional Budget Analyst experience, including receiving, reviewing, validating, and capturing data from incoming vendor invoices.
  2. Experience coordinating with third-party technical, management, and business stakeholders to determine current and future budget requirements and justifications.
  3. Ability to assist in simplifying and streamlining business processes related to managing program budgets, customer billing, and financial reporting.
  4. Experience working within a major Program Office or PMO, developing clear, organized customer-facing financial information.
  5. Proficiency in monitoring and controlling costs and schedules.
  6. Experience performing analyses and preparing reports to ensure contracts stay within negotiated parameters and government cost guidelines.
  7. Experience with developing budgets, implementing cost controls, and preparing financial analyses such as variance analysis.
  8. Ability to develop program plans to capture and schedule program requirements and SOWs.
  9. Experience or exposure to schedule risk assessments to identify and mitigate program cost and schedule risks.
  10. Expertise in MS Excel.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Experience with PowerBI is preferred but not required.
Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $99,410 - $168,997

Note: Salaries are influenced by various factors including market conditions, internal equity, and individual qualifications.
