Job summary

Florida Department of Health is seeking a Government Analyst II to assist the budget manager for the Office of Medical Marijuana Use. You will perform budgeting activities, analyze budget status and trends, and monitor expenses against the budget.

The role requires knowledge of Florida financial processes, FLAIR, and LBR procedures. Responsibilities include preparing detailed budget reports, supporting cash analyses, and assisting with the operating budget and spending plan for OMMU.

Qualifications

• Five years’ experience with the State of Florida financial processes, budget, FLAIR, the LBR process and AOD(MFMP) systems.
• Professional experience can substitute for the required college education year-for-year.

Responsibilities

• Assist budget manager with budgeting activities for the Office of Medical Marijuana Use.
• Prepare detailed analyses and summary reports of budget status and trends.
• Monitor expenses and revenues; develop operating budget and spending plan for OMMU.
• Support quarterly cash analysis and financial projections; assist with LBR submissions.
