Responsibilities include coordinating with Budget and Resource Planning, applying statistical methods, and producing reports that inform annual budgets and database maintenance.

Qualifications

• Equivalency statement: 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience.
• Budget Analyst II: bachelor's (or equivalency) + 4 years or master's (or equivalency) + 2 years of directly related work experience.
• Experience in higher education financial areas is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists Budget and Resource Planning personnel in defining the content and scope of budget and resource projects and assignments.
• Utilizes statistical methods and computerized models to organize and analyze issues and information.
• Collects and analyzes data and evaluates alternatives; prepares and distributes reports on research results for review.
• Prepares statistical/ financial studies and cost/ income forecasts used for budget decisions.
• Assists in the preparation and analysis of the department's annual operating budget.
• Assists in the maintenance of the budget system and budget database.
