Major Duties

The major duties of the Budget Analyst position include, but are not limited to, the following: Performs an increasing range of support of the park budget and accounting programs, tracking labor, travel, fuel, or supplies and material expenses against a budget plan. Reconciles monthly expenses against plans and suggests adjustments. Enters accounting data in a computerized system and generates reports. Drafts program budget guidance based on established policy. Develops an understanding of appropriations law, regulation, and policy , as well as administrative requirements for program execution. Duties will be developmental in nature when filled below the full performance level.
