The Commerce, International Trade Administration (ITA) in Washington, DC invites qualified candidates for a Budget Analyst role at GS-14 level. You will serve as a senior technical budget advisor supporting bureau leadership and federal budget formulation, execution, and review.
You will lead complex budget analyses, coordinate with OMB and Congress, and assess long-range effects of budget actions on national objectives.
This recruitment is to fill a Budget Analyst position within the Department of Commerce, International Trade Administration, Office of the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer (ITA/OCFAO).
As a Budget Analyst, you will perform the following duties: Serve as a senior technical budget advisor to bureau or major component leadership, providing advice and guidance on Federal budget formulation, execution, presentation, and review, as well as related financial and resource matters.
Lead complex budgetary analyses and activities involving funding requirements, allotments, appropriations, budget policies, and legislative and fiscal constraints; develop recommendations and appropriation language supporting program and budgetary requirements.
Represent and coordinate bureau budget matters with OMB, Congress, and other stakeholders; provide authoritative interpretations of legislation, OMB policies, and precedents and assess the long-range effects of budgetary actions on national economic, social, and political objectives.
