The City of Tucson’s Business Services Department is seeking a Budget Analyst to assist in preparing and monitoring annual budgets, analyze financial data, and produce reports to inform decision-making.
You will support budget forecasting, respond to budget requests, and help ensure expenditures align with goals under the Budget Manager's supervision. This full-time role emphasizes collaboration with finance staff and City stakeholders in a municipal environment.
The Budget Analyst position at the City of Tucson’s Business Services Department is responsible for assisting in the preparation and monitoring of budgets, ensuring that expenditures align with financial goals and constraints. This position involves analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and providing insights to support effective decision-making. Work is performed under the supervision of the Budget Manager. This position does not supervise.
Mostly office environment. All duties and responsibilities listed are subject to change.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or related Discipline Experience with budgets in a government or municipal setting.
