Talentify is seeking a Budget Analyst for the 15th Medical Group at JBPHH-Hickam in Hawaii. The role focuses on budget development, execution, auditing, and analysis of Operations and Maintenance programs within a Medical Treatment Facility.

Work as the liaison for program managers, monitor funds with command and budget office counterparts, and translate policies into robust budget estimates and financial plans. This is a mission-essential position with DoD certification requirements.

Qualifications

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements described in 5 CFR Part 315.
  • This position is designated as mission essential.
  • This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination, unless exempted by a licensed physician.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
  • This is a Financial Management Level 2 Certified position, designated in accordance with the NDAA 2012 (Public Law 112-81). Compliance with all Department of Defense certification requirements is mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Budget Analyst in a Medical Treatment Facility.
  • Responsible for performing budget development, execution, auditing, and the review and analysis of the organization's Operations and Maintenance budget programs.
  • Serve as the functional point of contact for day-to-day budget and financial issues, and act as a liaison for program managers, their representatives, and other staff offices involved in the budget process.
  • Work with command and budget office counterparts to obtain, monitor, and track the organization’s funds.
  • Interpret higher-level policies, regulations, and guidance related to budget operations, and perform budget formulation work, including reviewing and preparing annual and multi-year budget estimates and financial plans.
  • Research, consolidate, and summarize budgetary data from source documents, automated budget systems, accounting records, and reports for use in preparing budget estimates and annual financial plans.
