Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Budget and Finance Administrator to manage departmental budgets and financial and personnel-related processes. You will handle purchasing, payments, reimbursements, contracts, payroll, and student and temporary employment transactions, and monitor expenditures and reconcile accounts.

You will provide budgetary guidance, prepare reports and projections, advise faculty and area managers on policies, ensure compliance with university policies, establish internal controls, and

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 3+ years relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience administering budgets.
  • Experience supervising office operations.
  • Experience implementing policies and procedures.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Preferred: 3+ years related experience working in an Accounting environment.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of MS Office and Google Docs.
  • Preferred: Advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

  • Resolve budget, account, payment, and payroll discrepancies.
  • Establish and maintain financial tracking and internal controls.
  • Monitor compliance with University policies.
  • Provide budgetary guidance and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with the director and other University offices.
  • Ensure financial and personnel transactions, including student production allotments and Workday transactions, are accurate, timely, and compliant.
