Job summary

Buckeystown Veterinary Hospital is offering a Veterinary Student Externship for new graduates or experienced general practitioners to join our 4-doctor team in a mixed animal practice just outside Frederick, Maryland.

Externs gain exposure to small animal care, canine rehabilitation, exotics, and rehab facilities including an underwater treadmill. Mentorship from multiple veterinarians supports skill development with access to in-house lab, digital x-ray, ultrasound, and more.

We provide comprehensive services that include Wellness and Preventive Care, as well as on-site supportive services include Pet Boarding, professional Grooming services, and Dog Training Classes for every level of skill and handling.

• Small animal general practice exclusive
• Small animal + canine rehabilitation
• Mixed animal (predominantly small)
• Mixed animal (predominantly small) +canine rehabilitation

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in an AVMA accredited Veterinary School (VMD or DVM degree path)
