The College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources' (CAFNR)Construction Team is seeking an experienced BTS Carpenter to joinits team. Based at the MU South Farm, the CAFNR Construction Teamis responsible for the construction, remodeling, repair, andmaintenance of agricultural and office facilities located at CAFNRResearch Centers throughout Missouri.
Working as part of a four-person team consisting of two carpentersand a heavy equipment operator, this position performs a variety ofmaintenance and construction duties including wood and metalbuilding construction, interior finish carpentry, building repairs,and concrete work. Responsibilities include forming, pouring, andfinishing concrete footings and pads; framing and finishingstructures; operating hand and power tools; and assisting withmaintenance and renovation projects.
Maintain, safely operate, clean and properly store all tools andequipment.
This position requires regular outdoor work in varying weatherconditions, including extreme heat and cold. Overnight travel maybe required for periods of up to four consecutive weeks whileworking at research center locations throughout Missouri.

8 hours per day Monday - Friday beginning at 7:00 AM
5 years of experience in carpentry is preferred.
The anticipated hiring range for this position has been establishedas $17.90 -$30.40 hourly.
Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but notlimited to, the individual’s particular combination of education,skills, and experience, as well as organizationalrequirements.
