Job summary

MedCare Pediatric Group is seeking an entry-level Behavior Technician to work one-on-one with children to build communication, social, and daily living skills through applied behavior analysis (ABA). Training will be provided to obtain certification, and you’ll be supported as you grow in the role.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma is required.
  • 1+ years of experience or exposure to working with children is preferred.
  • Ability and commitment to complete a 40-hour training course to obtain certification.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct care to clients in one-on-one and group settings, following behavior reduction plans and protocols.
  • Collect behavior and skill acquisition data using company-issued tablets and complete daily session notes.
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and parents while attending staff meetings and trainings.

Behavior Technicians (BTs) work one-on-one with children to help build communication, social, and daily living skills through applied behavior analysis (ABA). Entry Level Behavior Technician Qualifications & Responsibilities:
  • High School Diploma
  • 1+ years of experience and/or exposure to working with children
  • Comfortable working with children or individuals with special needs
  • Experience working with children or individuals with special needs (preferred)
  • Ability and commitment to complete a 40-hour training course with us to obtain certification
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
  • Maintain a highly professional, positive attitude and demonstrate reliability and punctuality
  • Must pass a background check
  • Provide direct care to clients in both one-on-one and group settings, following behavior reduction plans and protocols
