Job summary

Stanbridge University is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member for the BSN Program at the Alhambra Campus to educate and mentor nursing students. The role encompasses theory, skills laboratory, and clinical instruction across multiple specialty areas with emphasis on practical application and student success.

The ideal candidate holds a Master's in Nursing, an active California RN license, and several years of direct patient care with recent acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Current, active California RN license.
• Minimum of four (4) years of direct patient care as an RN.
• Minimum of one (1) year of acute care experience within the past five (5) years.
• Recent direct patient care experience in assigned specialty area (e.g., Med-Surg, OB, Pediatrics, Mental Health, Community Health).
• American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
• Up-to-date immunization records.
• Proficiency in educational technology and basic computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Deliver clinical and/or theory instruction using approved course materials.
• Develop instructional strategies that promote critical thinking and clinical judgment.
• Evaluate student performance using nursing standards and program competencies.
• Facilitate integration of theory into patient care practice.
• Maintain accurate and timely records of grades, attendance, and student performance.
