Job summary

Unitek College in Porterville, CA seeks a BSN Nursing Instructor to provide clinical site education for students in the Workforce Development Program with Sierra View. Responsibilities include supervising clinical rotations, teaching in skills labs, and evaluating student performance against outcomes.

Requirements: CA BRN license, Master’s degree in nursing/education/administration, at least four years as an RN with recent patient care, and teaching experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid, unencumbered RN license (CA BRN).
• Eligible for CA BRN Instructor approval for Medical-Surgical, OB, Pediatrics, Mental Health, Community Health, or Geriatrics.
• Master’s degree with coursework in nursing, education, or administration and subject preparation.
• Minimum four years’ RN experience with recent direct patient care; RN teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical site education to students at the assigned program site.
• Plan and supervise student clinical experiences in health facilities.
• Evaluate student performance against clinical learning outcomes and policies.
• Maintain student records and assist with program outcome data collection.
