WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF A GENERATIONS BANK BSA ANALYST?

The essential duties of the BSA Analyst are:

  • Alert Resolution: Review daily automated transaction alerts to flag unusual cash deposits, structured transactions, or uncharacteristic wire activities across retail and commercial community accounts.
  • Case Investigations: Conduct comprehensive financial investigations into high-risk accounts, utilizing core banking systems, public records, and customer profiles.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Assist in investigations for Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and accurately submit Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs) within federal regulatory timelines.
  • Customer Due Diligence: Review Know Your Customer (KYC) profiles and perform Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) on complex business entities, cash-intensive businesses, and non-profits in our footprint.
  • OFAC Screening: Clear automated alerts matching customer databases against OFAC sanctions and global watchlists during account opening and maintenance.
  • Audit & Exam Readiness: Help compile documentation and transaction samples to support internal BSA audits and state or federal regulatory examinations.
  • Frontline Collaboration: Partner with branch personnel and frontline staff to clarify unusual account behaviors and reinforce BSA/AML compliance procedures across the organization.
WHAT ARE THE Requirements?

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - candidates must have these to be considered for this role:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 ½ or more years of banking experience
  • Ability to perform the essential functions, and the mental/physical demands of the job.
  • Current driver's license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage if required to drive while performing assigned duties and responsibilities.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - candidates will stand out if they have these:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Proficiency with core banking platforms and ability to learn automated AML software.
  • CAMS and CBAP certifications.
  • Working knowledge of federal BSA, AML, and USA PATRIOT Act regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written communication skills to draft logical, clear narratives for regulatory examiners.
  • Excellent organizational and time management with the ability to work independently.
  • Teamwork orientation and the ability to cultivate strong working relationships.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
