Estimated Salary: $31.16 - $43.63 per hour

Responsibilities Include:
  1. Perform case investigations and analysis using a risk-based approach within Verafin, including gathering documentation to disposition a case. Provide in-depth research and detailed analysis to support decisions on whether activity can be mitigated or requires a SAR filing.
  2. Determine whether activity is suspicious and recommend whether to refer to law enforcement or consider maintaining the member’s relationship.
  3. Write SARs and Continuing Activity SARs within Verafin for submission to FinCEN. Review and report 314(a) alert matches in Verafin to FinCEN.
  4. Conduct internet and database searches to gather relevant documentation for BSA/AML case investigations, including negative media searches. Save all research for record retention and potential law enforcement or regulatory requests.
  5. Coordinate with departments such as Retail Banking, Business Banking, Fraud, Legal, and Compliance to disposition cases. Send RFIs to Retail Banking as needed.
  6. Identify and escalate high-risk cases involving terrorism, human trafficking, negative media, or employee concerns to the BSA/AML Compliance Officer or Senior Analysts.
  7. Assist with administrative tasks of the BSA/AML program, including monitoring email inboxes for case referrals.
  8. Provide training and expertise to junior analysts or contractors as needed.
  9. Monitor regulatory changes related to BSA and participate in ongoing training to stay current with industry trends and legislation. Assist the Compliance Officer in ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.

Certifications: CAMS required.
