Job summary

Inspira Education is seeking a BS/MD Admissions Consultant to guide high-achieving students through BS/MD and direct medical program applications.

This part-time, remote, 1099 contract role can be based anywhere in the United States or Canada. Ideal candidates have an MD or DO, admissions committee experience, and a passion for mentorship and education.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Prior admissions committee experience at undergraduate or medical school level.
• Experience mentoring high school students in academic advising or college application support.
• Familiarity with BS/MD, direct medical and pre-med admissions processes, including school selection, application strategy, and interview prep.
• Proven success guiding students through competitive undergraduate admissions.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple students and timelines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Guide prospective BS/MD and direct medical program applicants through the admissions process, including school selection, application strategy, essays, resumes, recommendations, timelines, and interviews.
• Help students strengthen their academic and extracurricular profiles and develop compelling application materials.
• Support students in researching and evaluating best-fit BS/MD, pre-med, and undergraduate programs aligned with their goals and interests.
• Provide guidance and feedback on personal statements, supplemental essays, and interview preparation while helping students maintain an authentic voice.
• Support students with project planning, application timeline management, and progress tracking through internal organizational tools.
• Stay up to date on BS/MD, direct medical, pre-med, and undergraduate admissions trends to provide timely and strategic guidance.
