Specific Requirements

Guards assigned as Level 1 shall meet all the following requirements:

• Minimum 18 years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Completion of required training and registration under the Security Guard Act, and valid NYSDOS photo ID
• Valid New York State Photo Driver License
• Valid Fire Guard Certification from the NYC Fire Department
• Ability to stand or walk for an 8-hour shift
• Ability to climb stairs
• Ability to lift objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to assist persons requiring aid
• Good eyesight for visual ID checks
• Proficiency in typing and computer skills
• Valid TSA TWIC
• OSHA certification and completion of 10-hour OSHA training
• Military or law enforcement experience as specified

Work Environment and Schedule

• Work may be indoors or outdoors at client sites.
• Prolonged standing and walking required.
• Open availability during nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Various shifts and holiday work as assigned.
