Job summary

Willmar Poultry Farms is seeking a full-time Brood Farm Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of the turkey farm in the Willmar, MN area. The role focuses on flock health, barn maintenance, ventilation, and processing flow, while leading, training, and supervising the Brood Farm team to meet production goals.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, experience on brood farm sites, and the ability to manage employees.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience on brood farm site preferred.
• Prior experience in animal husbandry and welfare preferred.
• Previous experience leading and managing employees.
• Experience operating machinery (e.g., skid steer, tractor) preferred.
• Knowledge of turkey industry and government regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the turkey farm.
• Ensure flock health, barn maintenance, ventilation, mechanical systems, and processing flow.
• Lead, train, supervise employees on the Brood Farm to maintain a high-performing unit.
• Inspect barns for environmental conditions, mortality, water, equipment, and litter.
• Record mortality, weights, and water consumption; report to the Serviceman.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness; perform general maintenance as needed.
• Follow bio-security, animal welfare, and safety regulations.
