Rising Ground in the Bronx seeks a Community School Success Mentor to provide individualized mentoring and attendance support to students facing attendance challenges. You will work with the Attendance Coordinator and the Paths to Success team to identify students needing help, build trusting relationships, and conduct regular meetings and outreach.

You will address attendance barriers, develop strategies for success, and support students’ social-emotional growth and engagement with the school

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to manage a student caseload and maintain accurate records.
• Ability to work with diverse students and families.

Mansioni

• Mentor students experiencing or at risk of chronic absenteeism.
• Meet regularly with students to address attendance barriers and set goals.
• Prepare activities and resources tailored to students’ needs.
• Maintain confidentiality and proper documentation of interactions.
• Coordinate with Attendance Coordinator and team on cases.
• Assist with school-wide attendance initiatives and events.
