Job description

Broker II, National Marine, Logistics

This role can be hybrid remote, preferably near an Aon office in Charlotte, NC; Franklin, TN; Raleigh, NC; Atlanta, GA; Dallas, TX; Houston, TX; Chicago, IL; Miami, FL; Tampa, FL; or virtual for the right candidate. You will report directly to the National Logistics Practice Leader.

What the day will look like
  • Market new and renewal business, handling all aspects of placements from initial market selection through policy delivery.
  • Ensure placements are accurate and timely.
  • Build and maintain knowledge of logistics liability & shipper's interest insurance marketplace, products, and services.
  • Develop relationships with key insurance underwriters and local office teams.
  • Identify and analyze prospect and client exposures.
  • Coordinate activities across internal units to meet customer needs.
  • Present to account executives, participate in RFPs, client meetings, and conference calls.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients in broking, designing, selling, and servicing complex accounts.
  • Serve as a primary internal resource on market trends, pricing practices, and underwriting policies within a specialized area.
  • Plan, schedule, resource, and drive large projects or programs.
  • Interact with senior colleagues and clients, often across functional areas or divisions.

  • Effective presentation and communication skills.
  • Organizational skills and team collaboration experience.
  • Experience in resource deployment and utilization management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for various levels of interaction.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment managing multiple tasks.
  • Sales experience preferred.
  • Valid broker's license.
