Job summary

RT Specialty, a division of Ryan Specialty, is seeking a Brokerage Operations Coordinator to provide operational support to the brokerage team in New York. You will coordinate day-to-day processes, prepare documents for market renewal, and handle filing, printing and archiving to keep records compliant.

You will update client information across systems, answer broker inquiries via phone, email, chat or in person, and assist with regulatory reports and risk controls.

Qualifications

  • 0+ years of experience in the Insurance industry or Underwriting.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Business Administration, Sales, or Risk Management.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day brokerage operations and support procedural improvements.
  • Prepare documents and cover letters for market renewal business, filing, printing and archiving.
  • Update new and current client information in required systems accurately.
  • Maintain organized client records and ensure regulatory compliance.

  • Assist in preparing compliance reports and collaborate with broker and finance teams.
  • Follow regulatory requirements and internal policies; assist in risk management controls.
  • Support the Brokerage team with ad hoc tasks.

Position Summary

The Brokerage Operations Coordinator is responsible for providing operational support to the brokerage team by efficiently handling day-to-day operational tasks. The role contributes to the seamless functioning of daily operations, ensures compliance with regulations, and facilitates effective communication within the brokerage team. They work closely with brokers to ensure timely transaction completion through paperwork processing and coordinating with other departments in the firm.

What will your job entail?
Job Responsibilities:
  • Assists in executing and coordinating day-to-day brokerage operations and supports the implementation and improvement of operational procedures. -Coordinates with the broker to prepare documents, cover letters etc. to market renewal business and provides necessary administrative support in filing, printing, and archiving documents.
  • Administers and updates new and current client information in all required systems accurately.
  • Maintains accurate and organized records of client accounts, transactions, and other relevant documentation and ensures compliance with record-keeping regulations.
  • Performs customer service functions by answering broker requests and questions by telephone, email, chat, or in person.
  • Contributes to the preparation of compliance reports related to brokerage operations and collaborates across broker and finance teams on business requirements.
  • Adheres to regulatory requirements and internal policies and assists in the preparation of compliance reports.
  • Assists in identifying and mitigating operational risks and collaborates with risk management teams to implement controls.
  • Supports the Brokerage team with any ad hoc tasks and requests.
Experience:
  • 0+ years of experience in the Insurance industry or Underwriting.
  • Bachelor's degree required; Business Administration, Sales, and Risk Management preferred. Any other related discipline or commensurate work experience considered.

The target hourly rate range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00 per hour.

The wage range for this role considers many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, and market demands. The pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Full-time roles are eligible for bonuses and benefits.
