The Job

Responsible for overseeing, training, and servicing the broker distribution channel within the assigned market to achieve sales goals. This includes managing relationships with General Agencies, independent brokers, and ancillary stakeholders, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations regarding Medicare Advantage Plans.

Responsibilities
  1. Achieve all broker sales targets.
  2. Maintain strong relationships with brokers, agencies, and stakeholders by providing excellent service.
  3. Expand the broker network by identifying, training, and certifying new agencies and brokers.
  4. Coordinate and deliver broker education, including certification training.
  5. Monitor broker quality and resolve issues to ensure high standards.
  6. Ensure brokers use current marketing materials and manage supply requests.
  7. Assist with enrollments and member inquiries related to broker requests and plan eligibility.
  8. Contribute to team efforts and report on new business opportunities and field issues.
  9. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and CMS regulations related to the broker channel.
  10. Collaborate with marketing on broker cooperative marketing campaigns.
  11. Support SCAN’s vision and goals, including initiatives like Healthcare in Action or Homebase Medical.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or G.E.D.
  • CA Life and Health Insurance license in good standing.
  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience with Medicare Advantage Plans.
  • Bilingual skills preferred.
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality appropriately.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Extensive driving (50% or more) in the assigned area; valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation required.
