A Broadcom Proxy/DLP Engineer is responsible for managing and modernizing secure web gateway infrastructure, including migrating legacy on‑prem proxy environments into hybrid cloud or COLO architectures while maintaining seamless traffic flow, authentication, and SSL inspection. They integrate and tune Broadcom/Symantec DLP to monitor and prevent sensitive data loss across web, endpoint, and cloud channels, and they leverage Ansible, Python, and PowerShell to automate policy deployments, configuration management, health checks, and incident workflows to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort.

• Broadcom Proxy – Proxy engineer uses the platform daily to inspect, filter, and control outbound web traffic, ensuring users and applications follow security and compliance policies. They also integrate the proxy with Broadcom DLP to detect and prevent sensitive data from leaving the organization through web uploads, cloud apps, or encrypted channels.
• Migration Experience – Hands‑on experience migrating legacy on‑prem Broadcom/Blue Coat proxy infrastructure into a hybrid cloud and COLO environment, including redesigning traffic flows, authentication, and policy enforcement for modern architectures. • Automation – Uses Ansible, Python, and PowerShell to automate routine tasks such as policy updates, configuration pushes, log parsing, and system health checks. Automation allows management of large proxy clusters, streamlining DLP rule deployments, reducing human error, and integrating proxy/DLP events into SOC workflows to improve speed and consistency across the environment.
