Job summary

CW Network/Syndication Traffic Group at Nexstar Media Group, Inc. in Chicago seeks a Traffic Coordinator to organize information from advertisers, agencies, as well as our sales and production departments, and to perform traffic duties needed to complete daily commercial and program station logs, while also serving as a backup to other Traffic Coordinators.

You will receive, interpret and input highly detailed copy, work with sales teams on questions about commercials, and maintain copy

Qualifications

• Previous Television/Radio/Advertising Traffic experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a deadline driven, highly detailed environment.
• Ability to multi-task and meet daily deadlines.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently.
• Must be able to work well under pressure.
• Must be dependable.
• Be a quick learner and self-starter.

Responsibilities

• To receive, interpret and input highly detailed commercial copy based on agency instructions, flight dates, rotations and multiple revisions within log deadlines.
• To work with sales and sales assistants (both internally and on the agency side) in a professional manner answering questions regarding commercials and copy rotations.
• To maintain commercial copy instructions/files.
• To manage and work with digital systems to receive commercial materials.
• To maintain the commercial library and its inventory.
• To assist with daily log editing and finalizing within log deadlines.
• To be able to handle and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously and independently as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
