Job summary

FOX 13 Tampa Bay is seeking a Traffic Assistant to support daily coordination and scheduling of commercial content. This regular full-time role offers an entry path into the traffic function and collaboration with multiple departments across broadcast, digital, and streaming platforms.

The position emphasizes accuracy, timely execution, and the ability to work varied hours in a 24/7 operation with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or degree preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Professional communication with station personnel and agencies.
• Ability to learn broadcast traffic systems; Wide Orbit experience preferred.
• Independent and collaborative work style; flexible for overtime.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and update daily program logs for accurate spots.
• Coordinate receipt, labeling, and scheduling of materials for broadcasts.
• Track inventory and provide accurate information to Sales.
• Review logs for completeness and FCC/compliance accuracy.
• Research and resolve discrepancies in schedules and materials.
• Assist with monthly roster updates and backup for Traffic staff.
• Coordinate with Programming, Operations, Creative, and Sales teams.
• Use Wide Orbit and related systems to perform job functions.
