Job summary

FOX Television Stations – FOX 13 Tampa Bay – WTVT is seeking a Traffic Assistant to support daily coordination and scheduling of commercial content. You will learn the traffic function, work with multiple departments, and ensure timely execution of schedules across broadcast, digital, and streaming platforms.

The role requires a high school diploma (college coursework preferred) and strong organizational, communication, and technical skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college coursework or a degree preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain accuracy while meeting deadlines.
• Professional communication with station personnel, advertisers, and internal teams.
• Experience with broadcast traffic systems; Wide Orbit preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and update daily program logs for accurate commercial placement.
• Coordinate receipt, labeling, and scheduling of commercial materials for broadcasts.
• Track available inventory and provide accurate information to Sales teams.
• Review logs for completeness, accuracy, and FCC compliance.
• Research and help resolve discrepancies in schedules and log information.
• Assist with monthly traffic roster updates and provide backup in the Traffic department.
• Coordinate with Programming, Operations, Creative Services, and Sales to ensure accurate execution.
• Operate traffic systems such as Wide Orbit to perform essential functions.
