Job summary

WCVB-TV is seeking a full-time Broadcast Maintenance Technician to support systems and facilities that keep the station on the air. This role maintains, troubleshoots, repairs, installs, and upgrades equipment across the station, supporting daily operations, live broadcasts, and remote events.

The technician reports to the Assistant Chief Engineer and collaborates with Engineering, IT, Master Control, News, and Production teams to ensure reliability and optimal performance.

Qualifications

Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, or repairing electronic, broadcast, or IT equipment.
Strong understanding of electronics, signal flow, computer systems, and IP networking.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair broadcast production systems.
Support Master Control, newsroom, studios, and transmitter sites.
Assist with station projects, system moves, and new installations.
Provide technical support for live news and remote broadcasts.
Coordinate with vendors during troubleshooting and repairs.
