Job summary

Sinclair WZTV/WUXP/WNAB seeks a full-time Broadcast Engineer to install and maintain video, audio, and related broadcasting equipment across transmitters, servers, and automation systems. You will support system upgrades, provide technical guidance, and document signal flows for CAD drawings.

Flexible shifts may be required to ensure continuous on-air operations. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in broadcast engineering, strong hardware and electrical knowledge, and the ability to troubleshoot

Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years engineering experience; broadcast engineering preferred.
  • Solid understanding of core hardware, computer systems and electrical systems.
  • Experience with microwaves, transmitters and satellites preferred.
  • Associates degree or higher in electronics or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain transmitters, receivers, cameras, routers, and other broadcast equipment.
  • Provide budget information to support the implementation of new systems.
  • Provide technical support to operational users.
  • Consult with engineering management and other engineers on technical issues.
  • Create signal flow diagrams for CAD documentation of work performed.
  • Perform all technical work to engineering standards and practices.
