Job summary

Sinclair Broadcast Group in Tulsa seeks a Full-Time Broadcast Engineer to install, configure, and maintain broadcast and computer systems within the facility. You will support the News Department before and during newscasts, assist end-users, and coordinate with third-party vendors.

The role requires 2+ years in a broadcast setting, strong IT/troubleshooting skills, and a willingness to stay current with industry technologies.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a broadcast environment or related field.
  • Strong engineering, IT/networking, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Willingness to expand knowledge with emerging broadcast concepts/technologies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Self-starter, able to learn quickly in a fast-paced, diverse team.
  • Able to manage changing priorities and tight deadlines; on-call weekends/holidays.
  • Degree in a technical field or equivalent experience; relevant certifications preferred.
  • Ability to lift computers and equipment generally less than 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Installation, configuration, and daily maintenance/troubleshooting of broadcast and computer systems.
  • Provide operational support for the News Department before/during newscasts and breaking news.
  • Support for end-users; respond to help desk tickets/calls.
  • Interface with third-party vendors and support technicians.
  • Lead, execute, and complete projects as directed by management.
  • Adhere to Sinclair policies and best practices in a broadcast environment.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
