Job summary
Sinclair is seeking a full-time Broadcast Engineer in Wisconsin to support daily station operations and ensure reliable on-air performance. Responsibilities include hands-on support of broadcast gear, IT systems, and facilities maintenance within a collaborative team.
The role requires an Associates degree or higher in IT/electronics or related field, 2–4 years of broadcast experience, and strong troubleshooting, communication, and cross-platform IT skills (Windows, Mac, Linux).
Qualifications
- Associates degree or higher in IT, electronics or computer science or a related field.
- 2–4 years of related broadcast experience.
- Strong teamwork and quality focus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft, Mac and Linux OS.
- Knowledge of hardware installation and LAN/WAN networking.
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on support for broadcast equipment and IT systems.
- Support News Department technical needs.
- Assist with transmitter and master control maintenance.
- Maintain LAN/WAN and server/network services.
- Coordinate with engineering on video equipment setup.
- Ensure reliable on-air performance and operations.
