Position Summary

The Broadcast Systems Coordination Assistant supports the preparation, maintenance, tracking, and logistics of cutting-edge RF and specialty camera systems used in live television productions across sports, entertainment, news, and special events. This role is responsible for helping to ensure equipment is production-ready, accurately inventoried, tested, and deployed to support successful live broadcasts.

This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for an individual interested in pursuing a career in broadcast engineering, RF systems, specialty cameras, or live production technology. Comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided, allowing the successful candidate to develop hands-on experience with broadcast equipment. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced engineers and technicians while developing technical skills and industry knowledge that can lead to future advancement opportunities within the engineering organization.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Preparation & Logistics

  • Assist in preparation, staging, packaging, and shipping broadcast equipment for live productions and client deployments.
  • Coordinate the receipt, inspection, and return of equipment from production events.
  • Track equipment movements and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Assist with asset management, labeling, and documentation of technical equipment.
  • Maintain an organized, efficient, and production-ready warehouse environment.

Equipment Maintenance & Testing

  • Perform routine inspections of RF systems, specialty cameras, control equipment, and associated accessories.
  • Conduct basic operational testing and functionality checks before deployment.
  • Identify damaged, missing, or malfunctioning equipment and help coordinate repairs.
  • Assist engineers with equipment maintenance, upgrades, and system configuration.
  • Support preventative maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability.

Technical Operations Support

  • Assist engineering staff with setup, teardown, and preparation of broadcast systems.
  • Learn and develop understanding of RF transmission systems, signal flow, video transport, and specialty camera technology.
  • Support troubleshooting efforts under the guidance of engineers and senior technicians.
  • Maintain equipment manuals, technical documentation, and inventory records.
  • Recommend process improvements related to inventory management, equipment tracking, and warehouse operations.
  • Participate in training and development activities to build technical knowledge and engineering skills.
  • Support special projects as assigned by engineering leadership.

Work Schedule & Travel

  • This position is primarily based in a warehouse and technical operations environment in Spring Hill, TN.
  • Standard work hours are generally Monday through Friday; however, flexibility is required to support the demands of live television productions and client events.
  • Occasional evening hours, overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required based on production schedules, equipment deployments, and business needs.
  • Limited travel may be required to support live events, equipment setup, training, or operational initiatives.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to learn technical concepts and equipment operation.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in warehouse and technical environments.
  • Ability to safely lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel occasionally if required.

Preferred

  • Associate degree or coursework in electronics, engineering technology, broadcasting, production technology, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in warehouse, logistics, AV, broadcast, telecommunications, or technical support environments.
  • Exposure to broadcast systems, RF technologies, cable infrastructure, fiber-optic systems, or live production environments.
  • Basic understanding of signal flow, frequency transmission, video transport, or related technical concepts is preferred.
  • Strong interest in pursuing a career in broadcast engineering, RF engineering, specialty camera systems, or technical operations.
