Job summary

Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver) invites applications for part-time affiliate faculty in the Department of Journalism and Media Production. These temporary, non-tenure track positions vary by semester and are contingent on program needs.

Teaching opportunities include TV Production, producing TV newscasts, directing and lighting, and related courses, with pay per credit hour between $1,233 and $1,512.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a discipline related field with at least six years of relevant professional, full-time experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach 3 – 9 credit hours.
• Courses may include TV Production, producing TV newscast, directing/lighting, etc.
• Be available for consultation with students.
• Teach assigned classes in person or online by delivering course content to students.
• Prepare course materials and lesson plans.
• Grade student work.
• Provide students with robust feedback in a timely manner.
• Address student questions consistent with university, college/school, and department policies.
• Provide online or in-person academic support to students as needed and appropriate for the teaching assignment.
• Provide instruction in assigned classes consistent with the content and learning objectives of the regular course syllabus and, if required, with department course coordination policies.
• Comply with university-wide student evaluation of instruction policies and peer observation policies.
