Job summary

South Dakota Public Broadcasting seeks an energetic, organized professional to operate and monitor television and radio transmitting equipment—reading meters, watching transmitter components, and spotting potential issues.

The role includes minor maintenance, switching of video/audio sources, and coordinating streaming services across state facilities. Shifts rotate, including overnights, weekends, and holidays to sustain 24/7 operations.

South Dakota Public Broadcasting is a statewide, joint radio and television network that is also South Dakota’s NPR and PBS affiliates. We seek an energetic, organized, and goal-focused professional to operate and monitor television and radio transmitting equipment. Incumbents will complete this by reading meters, observing transmitter components, and observing equipment for possible problems. This position also assists in minor maintenance of broadcast equipment and switching of video and audio sources. As well as schedules and facilitates streaming services across multiple state facilities and platforms.

Requires flexibility to work rotating shifts, including overnight hours, weekends, and holidays to support 24/7/365 continuous operations.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

Ability to work independently without continuous supervision is a must.

Knowledge Of

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability To
