Responsibilities

  • Perform QA of incoming/outgoing media to ensure air readiness.
  • Operate within a broadcast master control environment for live sports broadcasts.
  • Ensure commercial breaks and sponsorship elements air on schedule.
  • Monitor and verify integrity of live video and audio feeds.
  • Adjust playlists/logs in real time for schedule changes, delays, or overruns.
  • Execute commercial breaks during live programming with precision.
  • Track sponsorship placements and fulfill contractual obligations.
  • Produce post-event and exception reports for internal stakeholders/clients.
  • Communicate on-air issues with operations, engineering, and client teams.
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy, compliance, and professionalism in a fast-paced live environment.
  • Recover from automation errors and operational issues in real time.

Broadcast Master Control Engineer
Role Summary

We are seeking experienced professionals to support in-studio broadcast master control operations for live sports programming. This role is responsible for ensuring broadcast quality, commercial execution, sponsorship fulfillment, and continuity of live event feeds.

This position is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a live broadcast environment during nights, weekends, and holidays, based on event schedules.

Key Responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform quality assurance (QA) of incoming and outgoing media content to ensure technical and editorial readiness for air
  • Operate within a broadcast master control environment supporting live sports broadcasts
  • Ensure commercial breaks and sponsorship elements air accurately and on schedule
  • Monitor and verify the integrity of live video and audio feeds throughout broadcasts
  • Adjust and manage playlists and logs in real time, including accommodating schedule changes, delays, and overruns
  • Execute commercial breaks during live programming with precision and adherence to client requirements
  • Track sponsorship placements and ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled
  • Produce and distribute detailed post-event and exception reports to internal stakeholders and clients
  • Communicate promptly with operations, engineering, and client teams regarding any on-air issues
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy, compliance, and professionalism in a fast-paced live environment
  • Recover from automation errors and operational issues in real time
Qualifications & Experience
