Job summary

Miami HEAT Broadcast Services seeks a Part-Time Lighting Technician to provide special effect lighting support for a range of live events, including Miami HEAT NBA games, concerts, and corporate events. The role preserves the Lighting Director’s vision and aligns with arena safety policies.

You will assist with programming, rigging, and operating lighting systems, while maintaining equipment and coordinating with the broadcast team for pre-event planning and on-site execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred. High school diploma or trade school with lighting focus.
• 2+ years of professional Lighting Technician experience preferred.
• Experience with GrandMA2 console and AutoCAD a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lighting Director with board programming, instrument focus, cable maintenance and spotlights.
• Load-in, setup, strike and load-out of shows.
• Maintain lighting equipment safety and condition.
• Set up and operate lighting systems during performances.
• Support pre-event planning and resource scheduling.
