Job summary

Green Leaf Productions Inc is seeking an experienced Audio/Video Equipment Manager to oversee day-to-day management, maintenance, preparation, and deployment of equipment for a busy television production studio.

The ideal candidate has hands-on knowledge of professional broadcast gear, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work with producers, directors, camera operators, audio engineers, and production crews.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience managing professional audio/video or broadcast production equipment.
  • Hands-on knowledge of broadcast studio equipment and operations.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to coordinate with multiple teams.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment and coordinate repairs or servicing.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the studio's inventory of cameras, lenses, microphones, audio consoles, lighting equipment, tripods, monitors, recorders, cables, wireless systems, and related gear.
  • Prepare and stage equipment for television productions, live broadcasts, interviews, shoots, and special projects.
  • Inspect, test, clean, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment for reliable operation.
  • Maintain inventory records, check-out/in procedures, and maintenance logs.
  • Coordinate equipment reservations and scheduling to prevent conflicts.
  • Diagnose equipment problems and coordinate repairs, warranties, and vendor support.
  • Recommend purchases, replacements, upgrades, and rental equipment based on needs and budget.
  • Maintain an organized, secure equipment storage area.
  • Train production staff on equipment operation, handling, storage, and safety.
  • Support productions on-site when technical expertise is required.
  • Track consumables and accessories (batteries, media, cables, adapters).
  • Maintain compliance with studio safety procedures and equipment-handling standards.
  • Assist with evaluating new production technologies and equipment.
