Job summary

iHeartMedia Markets is seeking an experienced Broadcast Engineering Support Technician in Clearwater, FL. You will design, deploy, and maintain electronic equipment to ensure optimal transmission and broadcast performance, while assisting clients and staff with installation, training, and support of software and hardware.

The role requires strong communication, independence, and physical ability to climb ladders and lift 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Excellent written, oral communications, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently, occasional nights and weekend work is expected.
• Must be on-call and available to respond 24/7.
• Ability to climb ladders, work in small spaces and ability to lift 50 pounds.
• 2 years technical school or military training in electronics or equivalent experience with 4 years' experience in broadcast operations, SBE certification or FCC General Class license is preferred.
• Valid state driver's license and an excellent driving record.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, deploy and maintain electronic equipment for optimum transmission and broadcast performance.
• Assist clients and technicians in installation, training and support of software and hardware.
• Test faulty components and diagnose causes of malfunction.
• Implement planned maintenance and upgrades as preventative measures.
• Align and calibrate RF transmission equipment per specs and FCC regulations.
• Maintain data integrity and audio file backups.
