Job summary

Hearst Television is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician in Kansas City, MO. You will maintain production and IT systems, support field and ENG equipment, and travel to transmitter and microwave sites as needed.

The role requires strong technical troubleshooting, knowledge of TV production systems, and the ability to work independently or with a team in a dynamic broadcast environment.

Qualifications

• Strong troubleshooting and installation design/documentation skills.
• Proficiency with desktop and server operating systems.
• LAN/WAN networking knowledge and support.
• In-depth knowledge of video production and television systems.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Flexible to varied shifts and days off.
• Capable of following verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain production equipment including cameras, switchers, servers, graphics, lighting, weather, audio gear.
• Support news gathering, ENG/DSNG/SNG trucks, editing systems and field devices.
• Provide IT systems and hardware/software support for the station.
• Oversee transmitter sites, microwave/ satellite systems, and signal routing equipment.
