Job summary

Sinclair is seeking a full-time Broadcast Engineer in Wisconsin to support daily station operations. The role involves hands-on support of broadcast equipment, IT systems, and facilities maintenance to ensure reliable on-air performance.

Responsibilities include server and network support, PC/Mac hardware and software repair, and assisting with transmitter, master control, and video equipment tasks. A degree in IT/electronics/CS and 2–4 years of broadcast experience are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or higher in IT, electronics or CS or related field.
  • 2–4 years of broadcast experience.
  • Strong teamwork and dedication to quality.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft, Mac and Linux operating systems.
  • Knowledge of hardware, installation, configuration, troubleshooting and LAN/WAN networking.
  • Proven problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Hands-on support of broadcast equipment, IT systems, and facilities maintenance.
  • Manage servers, network security, and network services.
  • PC/Mac hardware/software support for on-site workstations.
  • Support for News Department technical needs.
  • Assist with video equipment setup and maintenance.
  • Assist with Transmitter and Master Control maintenance.
  • Assist with LAN and WAN hardware/software maintenance.
  • Develop knowledge of facility IT needs and support these systems.
