Your New Role...

The Freelance Broadcast Designer is responsible for designing and executing broadcast graphics, conceptualizing and designing for live sports telecasts, creating insert graphics, directing some motion graphics, and supporting broadcast production teams.

This role requires collaboration with the creative team, production, and sales personnel. It also requires keeping up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to provide strategic, effective solutions that enhance broadcast coverage.

Role Accountabilities...

1. Maintain awareness of trending graphic design across platforms (print, linear, digital) and keep sharp design skills.
2. Conceptualize and design motion graphics for live sports telecasts.
3. Understand graphic requests from production and sales, providing guidance and counsel.
4. Work weekends and evenings as needed.
5. Collaborate with Directors, Producers, ADs, and PAs to meet requests.
6. Maintain a competitive edge by fulfilling brand and league partner requirements to enhance fan experience.
7. Understand and utilize software and hardware for motion graphics creation.
8. Find creative solutions to production challenges and stay updated on new technologies.

Qualifications & Experiences...

• Experience or understanding of graphic design; motion graphic experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with software/hardware like Illustrator, Photoshop, AfterEffects.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, New Media Design, or related field.
