Gray Media is seeking a dependable Master Control Operator in Phoenix to monitor on-air signals and ensure transmission meets FCC regulations. You will operate recording hardware, automation systems, and maintain precise logs throughout your shift.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a team environment. TV operation experience is preferred; you must be technically oriented and able to sit/stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Keep accurate transmitter and program logs.
• Check next-day logs for missing material.
• Make sure commercials, promos, and PSAs are ingested correctly.
• Operate recording hardware, satellite receivers, and computer-based systems.
• Prepare and check material for on-air playback via automation system.
• Verify all material airing by referencing program logs.
• Monitor on-air signals for quality control.
• Monitor transmitter and tower lights accurately to meet FCC regulations.
• Anticipate and troubleshoot issues when they occur.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
