Job summary

Astound Broadband is seeking a Broadband Network Technician I for the Austin, TX office. You will detect, troubleshoot and resolve outages, perform emergency coax restoration, work on underground cables, and handle maintenance and splicing tasks in a team-oriented environment.

Requires 2+ years in telecom tech, strong problem solving and map-reading skills, and the ability to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• Experience: 2+ years (telecom technician)
• Competencies: Maintain satisfactory driving record and valid driver’s license
• Knowledge: Customer service, communication, basic computer skills; aptitude to learn skills
• Abilities: Problem solving, time management, teamwork, working alone
• Ability to read and interpret maps; Bucket Certified; Ohm’s; Understand the Outside Plant

A Day in the Life of the Broadband Network Technician I:

What You Bring to the Table:
