Job summary

HR Green, Inc. seeks a West Region Group Leader to drive strategic planning, P&L and growth for our broadband engineering practice in Colorado and the Southwest.

Lead a high-performing team of designers, manage delivery, and expand market reach with clients in private and public sectors. You will partner with senior leadership to set regional strategy, own budgeting and forecasts, mentor staff, and build lasting client relationships while aligning with HR Green’s design philosophy and growth

Qualifications

• 10+ years of broadband development and leadership experience.
• Colorado PE license preferred.
• Proficient in GIS and broadband design tools.
• Denver/Front Range jurisdictional experience.
• Fiber-to-the-home design experience.
• Strong business development and client relationship skills.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Drive business development efforts and technical delivery for fiber projects.

In this role you will drive strategic planning, business growth, and P&L success for the Broadband West Region Engineering Group, while leading production teams, elevating technical delivery, and expanding market reach.

The West Region Group Leader, won't just manage projects; you will drive our expansion across key Western markets, helping both private and public sector clients navigate the entire broadband lifecycle from strategy to final construction handoff. What You Will Be Doing

• Drive business development efforts, lead technical delivery of fiber projects and provide exceptional leadership to a proven team of professional designers.
• Lead and grow a high-performing fiber/broadband engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence
• Partner with senior leadership to define and execute regional strategy, including revenue goals and growth initiatives
• Own regional P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, billing, and financial performance
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact
• Oversee project execution to ensure delivery on time, on budget, and to high quality standards
• Provide leadership in staffing strategy, hiring, onboarding, and team development
• Mentor and develop staff, setting goals and supporting career growth across the team
• Lead project scoping, contract development, and resource planning
• Represent HR Green through industry engagement, networking, and professional organizations
• Partner with leadership to identify market trends and position the firm for continued growth

What You Bring

• 10+ years of broadband development experience, including leadership experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Colorado is strongly preferred
• Proficient in GIS and comfortable working with related broadband tools such as IKE, PLA models, etc.
• Denver and Front range jurisdictional experience
• Design experience in fiber to the home and long-haul/hyperscaler market sectors.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex projects and operations
• Strong business development and client relationship management experience
• Demonstrated success in strategic planning and achieving growth targets
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to collaborate across teams, offices, and disciplines such as planning, transportation, water and wastewater, and landscape architecture.

Compensation Range

126,000 -206,000

The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. The final agreed upon compensation is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to individual education, qualifications, prior work experience and geographic work location. The total annual compensation package may consist of a base salary and eligibility to participate in our performance and discretionary incentive bonus program(s).
