Job summary

CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital – Kleberg in Kingsville, TX seeks an experienced General Surgeon for a full-time role with a broad scope including gallbladders, hernias, EGDs, colonoscopies, and PEGS. Strong community ties and autonomy are valued.

The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years of experience and be licensed or eligible to practice in Texas, with a 1:3 call rotation and teaching opportunities in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with ACGME-accredited General Surgery residency
• American Board-certified or board-eligible in General Surgery
• At least 5 years of experience
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in Texas

Responsibilities

• Manage broad general surgery workload: gallbladders, hernias, EGDs, colonoscopies, PEGS
• Collaborative call rotation with hospitalists and a strong referral base
• Residency within 20–30 minutes to support Level IV Trauma needs
