Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in Kingsville, TX seeks a General Surgeon (BC/BE) to join a community-focused, full-time practice. The role features a broad scope of care, including gallbladders, hernias, EGDs, colonoscopies, and PEGs, with autonomy and a supportive referral base in a Level IV trauma region.

Ideal candidates have 5–7 years of experience, a desire to integrate into a tight-knit Texas coastal community, and a schedule of 3 clinic days and 2 days of blocked OR time, plus a 1:3 on-call rotation

Qualifications

• MD or DO with ACGME-accredited General Surgery residency.
• American Board-certified or board-eligible in General Surgery.
• At least 5 years of experience.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in Texas.

Responsibilities

• Broad scope surgical workload including gallbladders, hernias, EGDs, colonoscopies and PEGS.
• Balanced schedule with 3 clinic days and 2 days of blocked OR time.
• Collaborative on-call rotation 1:3 (potential 1:2 for extra pay).
