Job Description

The Prep Cook plans, preps, sets up, and provides quality service in all areas of food production for menu items and specials in designated outlets, in accordance with company standards. Maintains organization, cleanliness, and sanitation of work areas and equipment. Directs, implements, and maintains a philosophy congruent with Company culture, which serves as a guide to all family members.

  • Maintains comprehensive knowledge of all menu items, including prices, preparation methods, cook time, major ingredients, quality standards, taste, appearance, texture, serving temperature, garnish, and plate presentation.
  • Organizes and prepares all necessary prep items from different areas to ensure readiness for service.
  • Endures physical movements throughout the work area and performs job functions with minimal supervision.
  • Strictly adheres to sanitation/health regulations and company standards.
  • Coordinates with Chefs to review assignments, anticipated business levels, changes, and other relevant information.
  • Inspects cleanliness and organization of workstations, rectifies deficiencies, and maintains standards throughout the shift.
